New capability

A design studio inside the factory.

APD now designs the packaging it manufactures. Structure, artwork and finish are developed alongside the people who will produce them — so nothing is specified that cannot be built.

Designers reviewing packaging prototypes and paper swatches

Structural design

Box constructions, bag proportions, insert engineering and dielines drawn against real material behaviour.

Packaging identity

A full system — colour, paper, finish, handle and artwork — developed from a logo or a brand guideline.

Artwork adaptation

Taking your existing brand assets and preparing them properly for foil, emboss, print and substrate.

Colour & material direction

Pantone selection judged on the actual stock, with coated and uncoated proofs side by side.

Prototyping

Physical mock-ups of the real bag or box, in the real materials, before production commits.

Range development

Building a coherent family across sizes, sub-brands, outlets or seasons from one design language.

Paper swatches, ribbon and cotton rope laid out for material selection

Working from a logo alone

A large share of our clients have no internal design team. They have a logo, a colour and a clear sense of how the business should feel — and no obvious route from that to a finished bag.

The studio exists for exactly that gap. We develop the whole system, show it to you in physical form, and then manufacture it.

Send the brief — or the vaguest version of it — and we will come back with a specification, a cost and an honest lead time.
